While browsing the web on various hiking pages, I came across a few noticeable phrases like extreme-day hiking and high-altitude hiking. Though an avid hiker myself, I never thought of or rather got an opportunity to traverse on those lines. So I decided to club them together and ventured out in summer of 2004 with a minimalist approach – go early, go light, go fast, go far, go high and achieve a personal best in one day!
I suitably found my goal around the Valais region of Swiss alps, a 2-3 hours drive from Geneva. Being home to several 4000’ers, hiking around them was not only challenging and stimulating but also an unfathomable intimacy with ecstasy and space!!
The Final liberation - free of body and emotion. It is everywhere and is reflected in the beauty and unity of life. It is the infinitely good and loving force - the soul. Wake up and search in heavens seventh direction. spiritual message posted at the summit of Oberrothorn (3415m)
